Anna Leigh Ashford

Annaleigh Amanda Ashford has been an American actress, dancer and performer since the beginning of the 1990s. As a young actress, she appeared in Broadway roles, she played in Wicked Legally Blonde Hair. The Tony Award was given to Ashford for her role as Essie Carmichael in You Can't Take It With You. Annaleigh, Tony Award-winning actress and director has spent most of her career working alongside famous directors and actors both in film and on television. Ashford will next be seen starring opposite Kumail Nanjiani in the Hulu limited series Welcome to Chippendales from creator Robert Siegel premiering on November 22. Ashford is currently working on Searchlight Pictures' horror thriller Dust starring opposite Sarah Paulson and Ebon Moss-Bachrach. The film will be available on Disney's DTC platforms and will be available as a Hulu Original. Ashford's Broadway return is scheduled to take place in March 2023 when he is paired with Josh Groban for the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre revival of Stephensondheim's Sweeney Todd. The group behind Hamilton director Jeffrey Seller and director Thomas Kail will be at the control of the production. Ashford was Paula Jones, the main role in Ryan Murphy's latest FX series American Crime Story Impeachment. The show is based on the scandal that brought Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky Linda Tripp as well as other main actors into the very first impeachment trial in the United States in more than a century. Ashford was a part of two seasons of the hit CBS comedy B Positive. She also appeared in the cult series, created by Marco Pennette Chuck Lorre, which featured famous actors Linda Lavin Hector Elizondo Ben Vereen.
